The Guardian has long been a trusted journalistic resource. Gender neutrality has been featured before in the paper but most recently in September 2017 when Gender Neutrality was discussed in great detail, even calling it a 'sartorial revolution'.

The article centres around up and coming designers such as Rad Hournani and established designers such as JW Anderson and their take on Gender Neutrality to date. It also covers Zara and H&M's recent collections, proving that both high street and high end should pay attention to this movement.

Chloe Crowe of Bethnals, a gender neutral denim brand states: “More brands have released gender-neutral clothing. It has filtered its way to the mass market. There seems to be a huge demand for it.”

Drapers is at the forefront of upcoming trends and business developments within the fashion industry. The topic of gender neutrality is discussed frequently throughout their site. In an interview with Volker Keteniss a trend forecaster at WGSN he states that:  “What’s true is that men’s and women’s lifestyles and interests are more similar today than they ever were. Brands are increasingly keen to reach male and female customers with the same message.”

In this article Drapers discuss Zara's recent effort to tap into the genderless trend and other retailers that are also taking notice.

"While some argue that genderless collections are simply a buzzier, on-trend repackaging of unisex clothing, which is nothing new for such retailers as American Apparel, the move towards brands and retailers not defining products as either menswear or womenswear, male or female, his or hers, is an interesting development and is most likely to have a broader impact in the coming years." discusses Graeme Moran.

There has been extensive editorial coverage of gender neutrality.

Christie Elan-Cane has been fighting to have gender removed from passports for over 25 years. Now, in October of this year she has won her fight for a legal review. This means there is a real possibility that gender could be removed from UK passports as ten other countries have already ruled. These countries have a third option 'unknown' or 'X' in addition to the 'male' and 'female' norm. This is proof that gender neutrality is a talking point not just in fashion but in other areas too.
